- Illegal to possess and/or use: Rhode Island.
- Legal without major restrictions: Virginia, Texas, Utah, Vermont and others.
- Legal with permit: Indiana, Michigan, Mississippi.
- Legal with restrictions: Illinois.
- Legal with concealed weapon permit: North Dakota and Wisconsin.
